Instructions on how to prepare the work

Programmes:

The work should be prepared in one of the following programs:

  • Adobe Illustrator up to version CC – platform PC/MAC
  • Adobe Photoshop up to version CC – platform PC/MAC
  • Open files in the following formats: .pdf (version 1.6), .ai, .eps, .psd
  • The work should be saved with text converted to outlines!
Colour presentation:

Please keep in mind the differences in color presentation between different types of monitors and printing. Therefore, to achieve accurate color reproduction, the monitor should be calibrated with an appropriate device.

Images and bitmaps:

If bitmaps (e.g.: photos or other raster objects) are not permanently embedded in the work, they should be provided separately, avoiding the need to export them from a vector program for further processing.
The resolution of the bitmap should be at least 300 dpi at a 1:1 scale for a 150 lpi line screen or 350 dpi at a 1:1 scale for a 175 lpi line screen.

We kindly ask:
  • not to send works in the RGB color format,
  • not to send works in PDF format with low-resolution bitmaps (below 300 dpi),
  • not to compose text in Photoshop or another bitmap editing program,
  • to convert text to outlines,
  • if objects are directly touching the edge of the page, please add 3 mm for „bleed,”
  • to place important text or graphic elements no closer than 1.5 mm from the cutting line,
  • to indicate the die-cut line, preferably with a separate spot color,
  • to include a preview in the form of a high-quality JPG or PDF of the version approved by the client, containing all design elements.
Lines and transitions:

In designs prepared for flexo printing, the line (stroke, object) should have a minimum thickness of 0.12 mm, and in the case of one-color knockout, 0.25 mm. For multi-color knockouts, the line thickness should be even greater. The minimum font size depends on its type, i.e., whether it’s a single- or double-element font.

Barcodes:

The barcode should:

  • be at least size SC0,
  • consist of a single 100% color,
  • be located at least 2.31 mm (recommended 2.54 mm) away from any other graphic element (printing),

It is most favorable if the code is black, blue, green, or dark brown on a white background (in accordance with the applicable standards).
